This project involves creation of electronics to control a capillary bioreactor. The final product will be used to reduce VOC concentration in the air.
Project Details
The hardware is controlled by a Particle Photon. The bioreactor requires three liquid pumps and one gas pump to cycle media through the system. These pumps are controlled using a power supply, relays, and the digital output pins on the Photon. The state of the output pins, which is specified in the Photon code, directly translates to the state of the pumps (on or off). This prototype also includes a CO2 gas sensor, which is attached to the I2C bus of the photon, and collects data at a specified interval.
